Healing Arts Institute of South Florida International (HAISFI) School is a private Therapeutic non-for profit and co-educational day school for Kindergarten through 12th grade. We are a uniform school, and we pride ourselves with a low 5 student to instructor ratio. We serve students, Kindergarten through 12th grade, who have emotional, behavioral, and learning difficulties and struggle in traditional school. We provide a warm, secure, therapeutic and technology-rich learning environment that includes low student-to-teacher ratio and core curriculum. What makes Healing Arts stand out above the rest? Students who enter our therapeutic Institution normally exhibit behaviors such as: Adjustment disorder, Anxiety, Low self-esteem, Rebellion/Anger/Defiance, Depression/Suicidal thoughts, Deceitfulness/Cheating/Theft, Self-harm, Manipulation, and Promiscuity. Our team of highly trained educators/therapist utilize therapeutic interventions through the day to aid our students in emotion regulation and utilizing progressive strategies and intervention to change non-productive thoughts and behaviors to positive ones.
HAISFI accepts all students, additionally, all of our instructors are therapist vastly trained in emotional, behavioral, and therapeutic interventions dealing with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, specific learning disorders as well as gifted students. Each child receives a customized therapeutic treatment plan to address any emotion, social, attachment or behavioral needs. Student meets 1x a week with his or her therapist and there is a family session held every other week or as needed to assist the parents (caretakers) social or emotional needs.
We also provide community based educational/therapeutic services to in home and hospital bound children.

PBIS: PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. SWPBS stands for School Wide Positive Behavioral Supports. PBIS is a positive, proactive approach to dealing with behavior. Students are given a clear set of expectations based upon behavioral goals chosen by the staff and administration. Monthly Progress Monitoring: At Healing Arts Institute we use a monthly progress monitoring system as a prevention model for all our students. Progress monitoring is used to help guide the construction of effective intervention programs for students who are not demonstrating adequate progress. We assess our students every month to measure reading, writing, and math fluency.

Hands-On Life Skills: The program is designed to be a results-oriented process that is focused on improving the academic and functional achievement of the student. Students with develop core academic subject knowledge, and strong functional skills development necessary for enhanced participation in society as adults. Some of the skills taught in this class are Daily Living Skills, Occupational Skills, Person-Centered Planning and interpersonal & Interpersonal Skills. Interactive Science: Interactive Science utilizes interactive, visual, and differentiated learning strategies to address the needs of all learners. The hands-on activities are scaffolded for all learners and feature a wide-variety of directed and open-ended inquiry labs. The write-in students edition features engaging visuals that frontload vocabulary and that relate directly to the content serving as important visual cues for English Language Learners. Interactive Science features three paths that let teachers teach it their way: text, inquiry, and digital.
Social Studies: This program makes required U.S. history content accessible for all students as they make the important connections between social studies and their own lives. Health: Pacemaker Health is a straightforward, comprehensive program that makes key health concepts accessible to all your students. Designed for use in a variety of classroom settings, this completely revised program contains updated content covering essential health issues for today's student, including nutrition and exercise, hygiene and disease prevention, safety, body systems and reproduction, mental and emotional health, substance abuse, family living and relationships, communication, maturity and sexuality, and community. their goals.
James Stanfield Program: For over 40 years the James Stanfield Company has been producing award-winning programs to promote Social Competence and Transition Readiness in students with cognitive, learning and/ or behavioral disabilities. It's President, Dr. James Stanfield, is a nationally recognized authority in Special Education and Instructional Design. He's been a classroom teacher, directed federally funded research programs and was a Professor of Special Education before starting his own organization.
Attainment: Attainment was developed to teach reading, writing, math, safety, social skills, self-determination, communication, and work/life skills to children and adults with special needs. Using interactive software, these educational programs combine instructive lessons with games designed to engage and challenge learners with special needs at any age. The learning materials, software, and MC (augmentative alternative communication) devices offer cutting-edge solutions to help children and adults with special needs realize their full potential and attain their goals.

Annual tuition is $15,300.00. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, HAISFI scholarships are provided through the generous donations of individuals, business, and grants received. We have limited resources available for scholarships and must be wise stewards with the funds that we have so that we can continue to provide the best quality care possible at the most reasonable rates. We ask that only families truly needing financial assistance apply. Please review your personal resources and possible sources of support carefully before asking for financial aid. Strict guidelines are used in analyzing the financial aid requests. While program fees can be covered through financial aid, application fee is NOT covered and cannot be waived.
Tuiton Fee covers: Academic programming, weekly individual, family and group counseling. NOT included damage/vandalism done by the student, books and uniforms.

Additionally, each of our instructors meets the continuing education requirements established by the Florida Department of Education, are mental health therapist, and trained in evidence based practices such as CBT, REBT, Family Systems, ABA, Adolescents Behavior Management, Solution Focused Therapy, and Client centered and Strength Based approaches.
